Jörgen Linde joined Zacco in 1998 and works primarily with patent prosecution and investigations, particularly in the area of life sciences.
Jörgen graduated in 1997 with an MSc in molecular biotechnology from Uppsala University School of Engineering. Between 1997 and 1998 he was a research engineer in the field of separation technologies and DNA analysis at Amersham Pharmacia Biotech in Uppsala (now Cytiva).
At Zacco, he has become experienced in many aspects of IP law, including prosecution for individual, university-based inventors, small and medium-sized companies, as well as advising in-house counsel within large multinationals. His experience working with technologically advanced clients has been integral in assisting his smaller or medium sized clients throughout their IP development process, as he can often identify and advise upon how to counteract challenges that emerge during expansion and growth.
His technical fields include biotech, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, materials chemistry, medtech and mechanics, and he regularly lectures on various IP topics within Higher Education. He is also a skilled practitioner with extensive expertise in due diligence and freedom-to-operate investigations, as well as opposition and litigation work.
Jörgen was head of Zacco and Albihns for Stockholm from 2008 to 2015 (Albihns and Zacco merged in 2009). In 2015, he became Team Manager, and has consistently been responsible for strengthening Zacco’s clients, including offering strategic advice to start-ups within the life sciences field. This is alongside his prosecution work before the European Patent Office on behalf of domestic and overseas clients. Jörgen’s work includes dealing with managerial issues related to the patent business and, in 2020, he was given responsibility for Patent Processes within Zacco’s Sweden East and North Region.
Jörgen has been a European patent attorney since 2004 and is an authorised Swedish Patent Attorney. He is regularly ranked by Managing IP as an IP Star, as well as Recommended Individual in the IAM Patent 1000 issued by Intellectual Asset Management.
