Mr. João Jorge is Member of the Board and Chief Operating Officer of RCF PI.
He is a qualified Portuguese Official Industrial Property Agent (the official name for a Patent and Trademark Attorney in Portugal).
He is member of the Board of ACPI (the Portuguese Association of IP Consultants) since 2010 and he is the Secretary General of ACPI since 2013. He sits at the Executive Committee of FICPI as the alternate delegate for Portugal.
He was elected to and acted as Member of the Examining Board on the Exam for the Official Qualification of IP Attorney.
He participated in the Working Group for the revision of the Portuguese IP Code (new IP Code of 2018).
He is also active, among others, as the Chair of the INTA Trademark Office Practices Committee – EUIPO Sub-committee (2024/25).
He dedicates some of his time to increase IP awareness, being invited to provide lectures on IP at several Universities in Portugal.
