Filipa Pereira da Cruz holds a degree in law and two postgraduate qualifications in intellectual and industrial property. She has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2012.
She joined J Pereira da Cruz in 2009 and became a partner in 2011.
Filipa provides advice on various aspects of trademark law, including prosecution, management of national and international portfolios and contentious proceedings before the Portuguese and EU IP Offices.
She currently heads the firm’s Foreign Litigation Department, working with a wide range of clients and associates all over the world.
Filipa is also a member of the major IP organisations, including ACPI (Portuguese Association of Intellectual Property Consultants), INTA (International Trademark Association), AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), ECTA (European Communities Trade Mark Association), PTMG (Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group) and FICPI (International Federation of the Intellectual Property Attorneys), and UNION-IP (Union of European Practitioners in Intellectual Property).
