Faye is ranked as a “Rising Star” by both Legal 500 and IP Stars and recently obtained a distinction in the IP Diploma with the top mark for trade marks. Faye has a particular focus on brand protection and exploitation in the fashion, beauty and media sectors. Faye manages IP portfolios and enforcement programmes, and drafts and negotiates a range of agreements including licences and sponsorship deals for various luxury and household brands. Faye’s contentious work includes leading on trade mark oppositions at both the UK and EU IPO, handling enforcement disputes through to settlement and being the lead Associate on High Court and Court of Appeal cases.

Faye’s highlight experience includes:

  • Day-to-day advice for various Maisons of the LVMH Group including supporting Parfum Christian Dior with its ambassador arrangements, and TAG Heuer and Hublot on sponsorship deals.
  • A 2 year-long part-time secondment with Camelot, the operator of The National Lottery, managing its vast IP portfolio, advising on its licensing arrangements and working on its bid for the fourth National Lottery operating licence.
  • Acting for Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club - successfully defending a copyright infringement claim relating to the club’s iconic wolf head design.
  • Lead Associate acting for The London Electric Vehicle Company in the Court of Appeal case that developed the law on 3D trade marks.
  • Being the primary point of contact for household brands including the Bestseller Group and Iconic London, working as an extension of their legal teams on IP portfolios and enforcement programmes.
  • Acting for various suppliers in the film industry, negotiating their agreements with all major film production companies.
