David advises his clients on the strategic protection and management of their trade mark portfolios,
encompassing all aspects of trade mark protection from clearance searches, prosecution and registering of trade marks, to advising on infringement enforcement issues.
He is involved in the protection of many household names in the entertainment and retail fields and has been an expert witness in criminal proceedings against CD counterfeiters and bootleggers.
David has many years experience before the UK and European IP Office.
He joined the trade mark profession in 1994 and qualified as a registered Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 1996. He moved in 1998, where he became the Head of Trade Marks for a firm of solicitors. In October 2003 he joined HGF, becoming a Partner in May 2004.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.
