Dr. Andreas Heiseke joined VOSSIUS in 2011. He is admitted to practice as German Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney.
Before joining VOSSIUS, Dr. Heiseke studied biology at the Technical University of Munich (Technische Universität München; TUM). His doctoral thesis in the Institute of Virology (TUM) focused on neurodegenerative diseases. Subsequently, Dr. Heiseke conducted research as postdoctoral scientist at the University College London (UCL). Dr. Heiseke has profound scientific expertise in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
Besides patent filing strategies and filing- and grant-proceedings, Dr. Heiseke has great experience in post-grant proceedings before the EPO (opposition and appeal proceedings) and in preparing validity and freedom-to-operate expert opinions.
