
Claudia Finetti
Claudia graduated from the University of Milan in 2000 with a degree in pharmaceutical chemistry and technology. For her thesis, she researched pharmaceutical patents at a renowned patent office, where she later specialised in documentation research, competitive intelligence, and generic drugs.
Claudia has been a member of the Italian Patent Information Professional group since 2004. She is qualified as an Italian and a European patent attorney (in 2006 and 2010, respectively), as well as a patent litigator for the Unified Patent Court.
Before joining Bugnion in 2020, Claudia worked with a leading Italian pharmaceutical company and intellectual property firms in Milan. She was responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as providing opinions on patent validity and freedom-to-operate. Claudia has edited patent columns for Italian magazines, and has collaborated with the EPO as a speaker and moderator at international patent conferences. She also lectures on intellectual property courses at universities.
