
Andrea Delbarba
Andrea is a European patent attorney and a European patent litigator before the Unified Patent Court, with over ten years of experience in the field of intellectual property. He specialises in patents in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, and life sciences. Prior to joining Bugnion, Andrea gained valuable experience at an Italian intellectual property office, deepening his expertise in patent drafting, prosecution, and technical analysis.
He holds a degree in medical biotechnologies from the University of Brescia and a PhD in medical pharmacology from the University of Milan, with a dissertation focused on the development of novel pharmacological agents for the treatment and recovery of cerebral ischemia.
Andrea has worked for an academic spin-off company, contributing to the identification of new molecular markers for Alzheimer’s disease and senile dementia, and attended a patent law course at the University of Milan. He also conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Brescia, focusing on proteomic analyses of biological and food samples.
