Monday March 4

The UK group of the AIPPI holds a questions meeting at the offices of Bird & Bird in London.

The Intellectual Property Appellate Board in Chennai is due to rule in the compulsory licensing case Bayer v Natco.



Wednesday March 6

The UK group of FICPI holds an open seminar on business practice.



Thursday March 7

Managing IP holds its India IP and Innovation Forum in Delhi. The event is free for in-house counsel and speakers include Tabrez Ahmad of Microsoft, Viswanathan Seshan of Philips, Anindya Sircar from Infosys and Tata Steel's Munish Sudan. Register here.

Advocate General Mengozzi of the Court of Justice of the EU gives an opinion in Amazon.com International Sales and Others. This is a case referred by a court in Austria seeking clarification of the meaning of "fair compensation" in the copyright directive.

The Court of Justice of the EU rules in ITV Broadcasting, a case referred by the High Court in London. The Court is seeking clarification of the meaning of "communication to the public" in the copyright directive. The case is a dispute over the streaming of programmes over the internet.
