Why we've signed up to IP Inclusive

diversity and political parties in societies

Managing IP has joined law firms, IP firms, barristers' chambers, associations and companies in signing the IP Inclusive charter

Ip inclusive log

Following the announcement by my colleague Alissa Rozen at our recent Global Awards Dinner, I'm pleased to confirm that Managing IP has signed the charter, which was set up in December last year by professionals working in IP who are committed to improving equality, diversity and inclusivity in the IP community.

We join a range of UK-based companies and firms, as well as the UK IPO and numerous associations, as signatories.

As well as hosting the charter, IP Inclusive promotes awareness-raising, best practice and training on diversity. It is running two webinars on unconscious bias next month, for example.

As signatories, we will endeavour to meet the six targets set out in the charter, and also use our position to promote awareness of it among other potential signatories. We believe that greater awareness of diversity and taking steps to be more inclusive can only benefit the IP professions and indeed everyone who works in the field. That's one of the reasons why we set up our Women in IP network.

Or equality, diversity and inclusion officer is Vicki Taylor, who is our group event director and is a founding member of the Diversity Task Force.
