Thibault Saurat is praised by his nominator for demonstrating the traits of a future leader, developing creative intellectual property strategies and communicating them well to the personal hygiene business.

Saurat focuses his practice on patent drafting, prosecution and oppositions, and has recently started working on trademark matters too. He is also planning to be a patent litigator before the Unified Patent Court.

“He’s agile, inquisitive, and demonstrates strong cognitive flexibility while being an open and clear communicator,” says his nominator. “In my opinion, he’s certainly a young talent to keep an eye on.”

Saurat, who is group patent manager, joined Ontex in 2020 and worked at automotive supplier Valeo before that.

He says his favourite part of his role is the diversity of the tasks.

“I believe it’s a job perfectly tailored for curious-natured persons. There’s always something new to discover and work on.”
