Beijing

Beijing will have a unique role among the IP courts, as it will be the forum for hearing appeals from the Patent Review Board and the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board.

Shanghai

Guangzhou

Guangzhou’s structure is also unique, because while Shanghai and Beijing are direct controlled municipalities, Guangzhou is a sub-provincial city. Guangzhou will have jurisdiction of some, but not all, types of IP cases from other parts of Guangdong province.
