David Tian (Tian Xiaodong) is the managing partner of An, Tian, Zhang & Partners and a qualified Chinese attorney at law. He graduated with a LLB in 1999 from the prestigious Peking University Law School and was recruited by An, Tian, Zhang & Partners in the same year.
After joining the firm, Mr Tian represented a number of clients from different industries such as electronics, energy, food, cosmetics and health care in a lot of patent and trademark prosecution work, and dealt with numerous cases in this regard in the early years. Since he obtained his licence as an attorney at law in 2004, Mr Tian has focused on enforcement, dispute resolution and litigation relating to patents, trademarks, unfair competition and copyright.
Mr Tian is devoted to a large number of the high-profile cases handled by the firm and has advised numerous multinational clients. He has broad and rich experience in all kinds of IP-related work – litigation in particular. Due to his superb performance and contribution to the firm, he was made a partner in 2005 and has headed the litigation department since then. He is now the managing partner of the firm. His working languages are Chinese and English.
