I qualified in South Africa and worked in Randburg and then later in the Sandton Area. Initially I started my career as a Trademark Attorney but soon turned my attention to Patent and Design Law. Since moving to the UAE in 2016 my work has included the preparation and prosecution of patents and designs from inception to grant, and everything in between. I have also been involved in patent and design infringement matters, start-up consulting, proof of concept analysis and IP portfolio management.
My experience in earth moving technologies, excavation and natural resource collection and harvesting allows me to advise on various R&D projects for large oil companies in the Middle East, including portfolio management, IP generation and maintenance.
I also work closely with local inventors, universities and Start-ups in the creation and protection of their IP.
