Narendra Airlangga Tarigan

Narendra A. Tarigan is the Managing Partner of NARA Law and leads the firm's Intellectual Property and Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice. With more than 15 years of experience, he advises domestic and international clients on a broad range of intellectual property, technology, commercial and regulatory matters.
Narendra's practice spans the full lifecycle of intellectual property rights, including portfolio management, registration, commercialization, licensing, enforcement, investigations, dispute resolution and strategic advisory work. He is particularly noted for his expertise in copyright enforcement, trademark protection, anti-piracy initiatives, unfair competition matters, domain name disputes and technology-driven legal issues. His experience combines both contentious and non-contentious work, enabling him to develop comprehensive strategies that align legal protection with clients' commercial objectives.
A significant portion of Narendra's practice is dedicated to intellectual property enforcement. He has led large-scale copyright protection and anti-piracy programs throughout Indonesia and has overseen thousands of software copyright infringement matters on behalf of leading rights holders. His strategic approach to enforcement, litigation and settlement negotiations has consistently delivered successful outcomes while safeguarding clients' valuable intellectual assets.
Beyond intellectual property, Narendra regularly advises on dispute resolution, employment matters, immigration matters, regulatory compliance and technology-related transactions. He is also a licensed liquidator and is currently mandated by the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) as the lead liquidator for Investree, overseeing the company's liquidation process following its dissolution. The Investree liquidation is widely regarded as one of Indonesia's most high-profile peer-to-peer (P2P) lending cases, attracting significant regulatory, investor and public attention following the revocation of the company's licence by OJK.
