Monica is a Senior Counsel/Attorney at Law and she oversees the work of the ZMP Romania department. Apart from the IP law, her expertise also encompasses information and communications technology (ICT), corporate law, and commercial law.
Since joining ZMP, Monica has assisted clients in various industries with a wide range of matters related to their IP rights. She specializes in trademark contentious and prosecution cases, handling opposition, appeal, and cancellation matters. Additionally, she has extensive experience in infringement cases. Monica frequently advises large international clients on counterfeiting matters in Romania and provides assistance before Romanian enforcement authorities. Moreover, she offers strategic and practical advice in litigation matters and assists clients with out-of-court settlements.
Her experience includes conducting due diligence investigations and drafting/negotiating various agreements with an IP component. Monica also manages clients' ongoing IP portfolios and assists with clearance searches.
Furthermore, Monica is a court-sworn translator for English and Spanish, authorized by the Romanian and Spanish Ministries of Justice.
