Mark is an experienced intellectual property solicitor, with expertise across the full range of intellectual property rights.
He has acted for clients in complex trade mark, copyright, patent, design, passing off and breach of confidence disputes, at all stages from pre-action to trial, with experience in settling large, multi-party disputes on terms favourable to his clients.
While he focuses on contentious matters, Mark also has significant experience in advising clients on brand strategy and protection, and in licensing, with particular expertise in trade marks and copyright.
Prior to his career in law, Mark worked in digital marketing and project management for a successful publishing startup.
Mark regularly writes articles and presents on intellectual property and related subjects. He joined Potter Clarkson in May 2021.

Education/Alumni: Mark studied philosophy at the University of York, graduating in 2008, before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course in 2013 and 2014. He obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice from Oxford University in 2017.
