Kim joined CWB’s Dubai office as an associate in 2022. Prior to joining CWB, Kim practiced with an intellectual property law firm in South Africa from 2017; was admitted as an attorney in 2018; and qualified as a Trade Mark Practitioner and became a Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law in 2019.
From 2017 to 2022, Kim’s experience spanned assisting client’s with the protection, enforcement and commercialisation of IP, in particular matters that related to trade mark law and related IP laws such as copyright, unlawful competition, geographical indications, with a focus on South Africa and African territories neighbouring South Africa.
Since joining CWB’s trade mark team, Kim has applied her IP knowledge and experience that has been garnered over the course of approximately 5 years towards assisting with trade mark and copyright matters in the region.
