James is a European and Chartered Patent Attorney working in our electronics and engineering team.
James has experience in drafting and prosecuting patents across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on Machine Learning, Image Processing and Quantum Computing. He also has experience in UK patent litigation and Due Diligence. James has also assisted a number of start-ups with their IP strategy, providing advice from the initial funding stage up until successful exit.

Education/Alumni:
James studied Physics at the University of Oxford as an undergraduate, specialising in Condensed Matter and Theoretical Physics. During his final year, he worked on a project modelling the behaviour of Topological Insulators. James followed his undergraduate degree by undertaking a PhD in Condensed Matter Theory at Imperial College London. His research involved studying the properties of exotic superfluid states.
James has also successfully completed the CIPA litigation skills course.
