Ian is a Partner and a UK Chartered Patent and Trade Mark Attorney in our highly ranked and regarded Trade Mark team.
As one of just a small number of UK Attorneys to be dual qualified as both a Trade Mark Attorney and a Patent Attorney, Ian boasts an enviable abundance of knowledge and practical experience which he draws upon to advise clients on contentious and non-contentious issues spanning the full spectrum of intellectual property law – including patents, registered designs, trademarks and copyright. He also coordinates the IP portfolios of numerous major brands such as Paul Smith and Twinings tea.
Recognised as an individual practitioner by the most well-respected IP legal directories, Ian is widely known for providing top-class client care. He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and demonstrates an exceptional understanding of the commercial challenges facing clients, applying a direct and practical approach to help solve the IP-related problems of clients.
