Joining Rouse in 2017, Hamad is a Senior Legal Consultant in our Dispute Resolution team in Dubai. He has degrees in law from both Middlesex University in the London and The Lebanese University in Beirut.
Hamad works closely with many multinational organizations across the Middle East and Northern Africa in developing anti-counterfeiting strategies and campaigns. He has managed numerous legal IP enforcement cases through administrative, criminal and judicial routes.
Across the region, Hamad has solid experience coordinating with various IP enforcement authorities, external legal counsel and internal enforcement officers to seek out the
best resolve for clients. He advises clients on the findings of investigations and due-diligence reports and frequently works with his clients in providing risk assessments and strategies to better shape expectations on IP enforcement.
Hamad manages clients’ recordals and advises on IP enforcement proceedings with Customs and DE in the UAE and with their respective departments various other jurisdictions across the region.
He has handled various trade marks and copyright portfolios in the Middle East and Northern Africa region for many large multinational brands. He has also handled several litigation cases including IP, employment and general commercial disputes.
