Giles Corbally is a partner at and co-founder of BomhardIP with over 25 years of experience in trademarks. His principle focus is on EU trademark and design prosecution and enforcement.
He has substantial trademark disputes experience within the EU and beyond, including handling oppositions and cancellations actions before EUIPO. He also has a real specialism in trademark searching and clearance in the EU and beyond – helping clients navigate the increasingly difficult path between brand conception and launch.
During his career, Giles has handled trademark matters and large-scale trademark portfolios for clients operating in a diverse range of fields, including the beverage, food, confectionery, tobacco, film and TV, entertainment, publishing, pharmaceutical, financial, automobile, engineering, and software and hardware industries. Prior to joining BomhardIP, Giles worked in senior positions, both in London and abroad, for several of the largest international law firms, having started his career working inhouse for the owner of the then world’s largest trademark portfolio.
He currently is a member of INTA’s Trademark Office Practices Committee, and also a member of ECTA´s publication committee and Chief Editor of the ECTA Bulletin. He also sits on the European Advisory Board for a large trademark search provider: Corsearch.
