Dr. Claudia Hertzsch is a German and European Patent Attorney and pharmacist. She represents clients in national and cross-border patent law matters, in particular in patent infringement disputes and patent nullity proceedings relating to technical property rights before German courts and before the Unified Patent Court. She also deals with questions concerning the validity of patents before the European Patent Office. She specializes in inventions in the field of life sciences and chemistry, in particular in the field of drug formulations, medical uses and dosage inventions, small molecules and their manufacture as well as protein drugs.
Dr. Claudia Hertzsch studied pharmacy at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and obtained her doctorate in pharmacy at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn. Before qualifying as a German Patent Attorney, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the medical affairs/regulatory affairs department. She completed her training as a German Patent Attorney at a renowned patent law firm in Frankfurt, at the German Patent and Trademark Office, at the Regional Court of Frankfurt and at the Federal Patent Court.
She then qualified as a European Patent Attorney in a renowned patent law firm in Düsseldorf, where Dr. Claudia Hertzsch worked as a patent attorney for over 10 years focusing on pharmaceuticals and patent litigation before joining HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER. Dr. Claudia Hertzsch also gained work experience in intellectual property law in an international British-based law firm in Hong Kong.
