Andrew is a London-based principal associate and solicitor advocate who advises on intellectual property law, in particular contentious patent disputes.
He has significant expertise working with a range of technology clients, particularly US corporations active in the telecommunications field, in resolving their disputes in the UK, often as part of broader, multi-jurisdictional action.
Andrew also has substantial experience of litigating Standards-Essential Patents, including advising InterDigital Technology Corporation in its dispute with Nokia Corporation and Nokia Siemens Networks regarding whether 35 of Nokia's patents were essential to the 3G telecommunications standard; and acting for various members of the MPEG LA patent pool in disputes relating to the infringement of patents within the patent pool.
Andrew helped establish our Guangzhou office and assists clients to resolve their technology disputes in China.
