Andreas Keymer

Andreas Keymer studied Biology and Chemistry at the Ludwigs-Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich. He performed his graduation work at the institute of genetics and completed his studies in 2014. In 2015, Andreas Keymer started his doctoral studies at the LMU and later continued the work at the Technical University Munich (TUM).

During his doctoral work Andreas Keymer specialized in plant genetics with a strong focus on molecular mechanisms that regulate plant-microbe interactions. His research interest addressed the interplay of plants with beneficial as well as detrimental microbes in order to find new means for applied agriculture.
