Ahmet Akgüloğlu is a partner at ATG Law Firm. He is an attorney at law and a registered trademark and patent attorney before the Turkish Patent Institute. He specialises in IP law, unfair competition law, internet law, consumer protection law, IT and media law, antitrust law, data protection law, competition law, product liability and regulatory compliance.
Mr Akgüloğlu leads all sub-departments of ATG Law Firm’s IP department – namely, IP litigation, IP prosecution and investigations.
Mr Akgüloğlu has represented many high-level domestic and international clients. He has extensive experience in all IP matters – including prosecution, litigation, enforcement, dispute resolution, unfair competition and client counselling and strategy – in a range of legal actions in Turkey and overseas. Mr Akgüloğlu has carried out numerous litigation proceedings relating to IP law, especially in relation to trademark, design and patent infringement, anti-counterfeiting matters, domain name disputes and unfair competition law. His active role in IP litigation has earned him a glowing reputation before all levels of courts, and especially the IP courts, in Turkey.
Mr Akgüloğlu has published multiple articles relating to IP law.
He also acts as a panellist before the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center and the National Arbitration Forum.
