Ahmad is Of Counsel, Head of IP/TMT Licensing & Regulatory practice at Dentons Morocco office.
Ahmad has experience over more than 700 trademark opposition procedures, over 200 IP litigations (patents, trademarks, unfair competition, counterfeiting, infringement, ...) and in counseling for the prosecution, protection/enforcement, maintenance and exploitation of more than 6,000 IP rights (trademarks, patents, designs, plant varieties, domain names, copyright).
He has solid experience in audits and financial assessments of IP rights, due diligence, IP portfolio management/IP strategy, IP trainings and is able to advise on deposits abroad (EU, USA, Arab countries...) directly or through international and regional deposit systems (Madrid system, OAPI, ARIPO, PCT, OHIM, EPO and the Hague).
He regularly acts before the OMPIC (Patent & Trademark Office), the BMDA (Copyright Office), the Customs Administration, the ANRT (Telecommunication and Domain names Regulation Authority), the ministry of Health, Agriculture, Culture, the HACA (Audiovisual Regulation Authority) and BNRM (National Library).
He is founding member and former Secretary General of the AMACPI (Moroccan Association of Industrial Property Counsels), is an active member of the International Trademark Association "INTA" (editor and member of the Trademark Reporter Committee) and special advisor to the CAM "Lawyers Society of Morocco".
Ahmad is initiator of the "fellowship meetings between lawyers and jurists of Morocco" since 2012.
He is contributor to the Moroccan chapter in various international reviews and specialized reports as the Kluwers guide for IP, Doing Business (World Bank), and is quoted and listed in international guides such as Legal 500 as one of the best practitioners in intellectual property in Morocco.
He is lecturer in IP in different seminars and courses (LL.M International Business Law at University Mundiapolis, Bachelor/Master in Entrepreneurship & Management at University Hassan 2, international seminar "The Madrid system for the international registration of marks" organized by WIPO and the OMPIC ...).
Ahmad is graduated in IP from CEIPI in France.
