Bird & Bird suffers losses in Sweden

Four senior lawyers from Bird & Bird’s Swedish office have launched a new firm in the country

IP lawyer Sara Sparring and telecoms lawyer Johan Tydén have teamed up with M&A specialist Andreas Börjesson and IT and technology lawyer Jim Runsten to form Synch. Six other employees have left Bird & Bird to join them.

The new firm says it will focus on providing advice to start-ups, particularly to those in the technology sector, and that it will offer clients more choices when it comes to payment, using retainer payment models, fixed prices or more long-term remuneration models connected to value.
