Joseph Reid (top right) and Thomas Millikan (middle right) have joined the firm’s San Diego office. Before spending two years at a small boutique IP firm, Millikan was a partner at Fish & Richardson and Reid was a partner at Perkins Coie.

Reid has represented plaintiffs and defendants in district courts, the ITC and the Federal Circuit. He played a significant role in defending Microsoft against Lucent Technologies and the Multimedia Patent Trust in a series of trials that forged new damages law.

Millikan has represented clients in the district courts and the ITC. He has worked on cases involving video compression, audio compression, speech compression, bio-chemical decontamination, unified communications, video conferencing, gaming systems, image enhancement and distributed databases.

Tiffany Cunningham (bottom right) has joined the firm’s Chicago office from Kirkland & Ellis. She has experience in federal district courts, the Federal Circuit, and the ITC. She is also registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her cases have involved the chemical, pharmaceutical and automotive industries, biotechnology, computer science and mechanical engineering.
