WilmerHale adds IP partner in London

Anthony Trenton has joined WilmerHale’s London office. He was formerly a partner of Dentons

Trenton trained as a barrister before qualifying as a solicitor. He focuses on litigation, and acted for Kirin-Amgen in the landmark House of Lords case against TKT over erythropoietin, and for Schütz against Werit in last year’s UK Supreme Court case involving intermediate bulk containers.

He is the second English solicitor to join WilmerHale this year, following Trevor Cook who left Bird & Bird to work in the firm’s New York office.

WilmerHale has one of the leading patent litigation practices in the United States, and is looking to expand internationally.

It is likely to be one of several US firms looking at the opportunities arising from the launch of Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court in Europe.
