Speakers line up for Women’s Leadership Forum in Silicon Valley

In-house counsel from eBay, Twitter, Facebook, Nokia, Google and CBS will among the speakers at Managing IP’s second International Women’s Leadership Forum in San Jose in December

They will be sharing their expertise with women lawyers in the profession on topics ranging from IP licensing and post-grant proceedings to biotechnology and trade mark issues. They will also explain how women can build their careers and develop their leadership skills. You can read more about the programme here.

The event follows on from the success of Managing IP’s inaugural Women’s Leadership Forum, held in New York in June. More than 150 private practice lawyers and in-house counsel heard from influential female lawyers on topics such as patent reform in the US, developments in the life sciences sector and changes to the patent litigation systems in Europe.

Feedback from the event was very positive. “Great content, very informative. It was a pleasure listening to women with so much expertise”; “The networking opportunities were excellent”; “What I liked most was the high-quality substantive presentations with the combined advice from women to women”; “There was a very positive attitude and atmosphere”.

The event in San Jose will provide another opportunity for women IP lawyers and policy makers to network, learn, and share experiences of developing their careers.

The Forum is just one of the events being organised by Managing IP as part of its Women in IP Network. Membership benefits include an online networking platform, exclusive editorial content and a programme of webinars, conferences, and breakfast and cocktail events around the world. Membership is free for in-house counsel. You can find out more about the Women in IP Network here.
