Rader to leave Federal Circuit

Judge Randall Rader has announced that he will retire from the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit effective on June 30

Rader stood down as the Federal Circuit’s chief judge on May 30,with Judge Sharon Prost replacing him. At that time, Rader said he would continue in active service on the court.

However, Rader noted when he announced he was stepping down as chief judge that he would “also undertake additional teaching, lecturing and travel”. He is leaving the Federal Circuit altogether to pursue this goal.
