Former USPTO director Jon Dudas has resigned from his job as president of FIRST, a charity which encourages young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Dudas was the under secretary of commerce for intellectual property and director of the USPTO from 2004 to 2009. He is also a former IP partner of Foley & Lardner.
Bob Tuttle, board vice chairman and treasurer, will serve as interim president while the board finds replacement for Dudas.
