Monday November 5

WIPO hosts a seminar for diplomats on geographical indications in Geneva

The Working Group on the Legal Development of the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs meets in Geneva until Wednesday.

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit hears oral arguments for Webstone v Red-White Valve.

Tuesday November 6

WIPO hosts a two-day seminar on the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks in Geneva.

The WTO’s TRIPs Council holds a two-day meeting in Geneva. On the agenda is the annual review of how the decision on TRIPS and public health is being implemented and developed countries’ obligations to transfer technology to least developed countries. Brazil has also requested a discussion on the role of intellectual property in innovation policy.

UCL hosts a two-day conference on Standards, Frand, NPEs and injunctions organised by UCL Laws IBIL and Taylor Wessing.

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit hears oral arguments for In Re Sutton and Willis v Can’t Stop.

INTA’s Leadership Meeting begins in Orlando, Florida.

Wednesday November 7

The Supreme Court hears oral arguments for Already dba Yums v Nike.

Thursday November 8

The General Court of the Court of Justice of the EU rules in Hartmann v OHMI (Nutriskin Protection Complex).

WIPO hosts a seminar on the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs.
