Weintraub Tobin hires head of IP group

Jo Dale Carothers has joined Californian law firm Weintraub Tobin as a shareholder and will head the firm’s intellectual property group

Carothers will also become a member of the firm’s litigation group.

Before joining Weintraub Tobin, Carothers was a partner with Covington & Burling.

Carothers’ practice emphasises patent and trade secret litigation and IP licensing in electrical and computer engineering.
