Kathy is a product management leader with over 20 years of experience in the intellectual property (IP) industry, spanning both trademarks and patents. Since 2021, she has served as director of product management at CAS, where she leads the IP product solutions portfolio. Based in Belgium and a regular visitor to the CAS offices in Columbus, Ohio, Kathy brings a global perspective and deep industry expertise to her role, driving innovation and delivering impactful solutions for IP professionals worldwide.
Brian Habersberger
(Lead genAI engineer, CAS Connections and CAS IP Finder, CAS)
Brian pioneers applied LLM engineering. As lead genAI engineer at CAS, he spearheads the development of CAS Newton for CAS IP Finder, bringing generative AI to the intersection of science and intellectual property.
Brian’s expertise stems from a deep career in the sciences, with 12 years at Dow Chemical Company. He was the architect of Dow’s first enterprise LLM application, a system analysing more than 250,000 patents. Brian is an inventor of 12 published patent families and has authored 15 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as JACS, Macromolecules, and Advanced Energy Materials.
He holds a BE in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
