As of 1 January 2023, three new partners have joined V.O. Patents & Trademarks: Jetze Beeksma, Henri van Kalkeren and Martin Klok. With this expansion of the partner team, V.O. is even better able to serve the growing customer base within the Chemistry and Life Sciences sections.
Jetze Beeksma studied molecular biology and biotechnology as well as Dutch law. He joined V.O. in 2014. As a patent attorney, he is mainly involved in drafting patent applications and handling worldwide grant procedures. Furthermore, he advises on validity, scope of protection and infringement, especially in the context of litigation. Jetze works from the Amsterdam office.
Henri van Kalkeren holds a doctorate in synthetic organic chemistry and has been with V.O. since 2014. As a patent attorney, his daily practice lies mainly in drafting and handling patent applications for a wide range of clients. He is experienced in litigation at the Dutch Patent Court and hearings at the European and Dutch patent offices. Henri works from the Amsterdam office.
Martin Klok holds a doctorate in organic and physical chemistry and joined V.O. in 2011. As a patent attorney, he specializes in patent litigation, as well as the strategic protection of new products. His knowledge of research, chemistry and patent law enables him to communicate efficiently with inventors, specialists and lawyers alike. Martin works from the The Hague office.
