US: Memory chip maker Rambus scored a $307 million victory in a patent dispute against South Korean company Hynix Semiconductor on April 24. Bringing the six-year legal battle to a close, a jury in San Jose, California, ordered Hynix to pay $276.4 million in damages for infringing patents covering DRAM computer memory called DDRSD, and $30.5 million for another called SDRAM. Hynix plans to appeal.
