Greenberg Traurig adds shareholder in Chicago

Weisun Rao has joined the Chicago office of law firm Greenberg Traurig as a shareholder in the intellectual property and technology practice.

Rao, who was previously a principal at Miller Canfield, will also spend considerable time in the firm’s Shanghai office. He advises clients on IP and business issues in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, nutraceutical, medical device, advanced material and mechanical industries. He is particularly familiar with the emerging pharmaceutical R&D and medical device industries in China.
