IP Out hosted a seminar and networking event at the London office of Fieldfisher on July 18

The event was titled "Does size matter? What can firms (large and small) do to welcome LGBT people?" and was attended by more than 40 people.

Topics discussed included: holding inclusive events and networks; integrating diversity/inclusivity into all aspects of the firm including its culture and values; recruitment and unconscious bias; advertising job positions and interviewing techniques; and how to maintain inclusivity through reviews and appraisals.

There was also a Q&A session and a drinks reception on Fieldfisher's balcony overlooking the Thames.

The speakers were Jay Wetterau and Mathieu Pinto Cardoso, diversity and inclusion professionals at Fieldfisher, and Rhiannon Turner, partner and patent attorney at Greaves Brewster.
