Todd Dickinson joins Novak Druce

Q Todd Dickinson, a former director of the USPTO, has joined Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg as partner

Dickinson will also assume the role of global chair of Novak Druce’s new client select strategic services group. He will be based in the firm's Washington DC and San Francisco/Silicon Valley offices.

Dickinson most recently served for six years as the executive director of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He resigned last July and was eventually replaced as AIPLA executive director in October by Lisa Jorgenson.

He was USPTO director from 1999 to 2001. He has also held roles as corporate vice-president and chief intellectual property counsel for General Electric and chief intellectual property counsel for Sun Company.
