K&L Gates adds partners in Seattle and New York

K&L Gates has added intellectual property litigation partners Michael Freno and Peter Giunta to its Seattle and New York offices, respectively

Freno joins K&L Gates from Seed Intellectual Property Law Group in Seattle, while Giunta arrives from Kenyon & Kenyon, where the two were colleagues before Freno’s 2012 move to Seed IP.

Freno has experience representing major generic pharmaceutical companies, particularly in the area of Hatch-Waxman litigation. He also advises clients in other industries, including biologics, chemical, mechanical, and electrical engineering, litigating trademark, trade dress, false advertising, and copyright matters.

Giunta counsels technology clients, including those in the pharmaceutical, biomedical device, and electronics sectors, in IP litigation before federal courts, the US International Trade Commission, and the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
