Edwards Wildman adds former FTC official as IP partner in DC

Edward Glynn has joined Edwards Wildman Palmer’s office in Washington, DC as a partner in its intellectual property department.

Glynn will advise clients involved in federal and state regulatory investigations.

Before joining Edwards Wildman, Glynn was a partner in the Washington, DC offices of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and Venable. He previously spent 14 years as a senior official in the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), where he led the Commission’s regulatory oversight of cross-border mergers and acquisitions for almost a decade.

 

While at the FTC, Glynn represented the US on the Committee on Competition Law and Policy of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and was chair of the Committee’s Working Group on Competition Policy and Intellectual Property.

 

Glynn serves as vice-chair of the Consumer Protection Committee of the Antitrust Section, American Bar Association.

Edwards Wildman Palmer also announced that Bryan Zerhusen has joined the firm as a partner in its intellectual property department in Hartford, Connecticut.

Zerhusen counsels clients in all areas of molecular biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology. He was previously a Hartford-based partner in McCarter & English’s intellectual property and information technology group, where he helped to establish and grow the life sciences practice.
