What IP does Huawei own in the United States?

A search of the USPTO database reveals that the Shenzhen-based telecoms company or its subsidiaries has applied to register 1,201 invention and design patents (based on a search of applications in which the assignee is Huawei).

These range from design patents for the ornamental design for a mobile phone to patents for a method and device for allocating radio configuration types. The company has been advised by a group of firms including Leydig, Voit & Mayer and Slater & Matsil as well as Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione and Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner.

A search of the US trade marks data base reveals 184 live applications for marks from owners named Huawei. These are Huawei Glare, Huawei Softip and Meditopia. Peter Sloane of Leason Ellis has advised Huawei on the applications.
