The first part of the annual IP Stars rankings of the leading IP firms in more than 70 jurisdictions is now available

IP Stars stacked 400

You can read and search all the rankings for free simply by registering your details.

Once registered, you will find the rankings for each country listed under the relevant region.

The new rankings cover trade mark prosecution and contentious work and have been compiled by our team of researchers based on questionnaires submitted and interviews conducted over the past four months, as well as publicly available information.

Prosecution includes all work before the IP office both pre- and post-grant while contentious work covers all other IP-related legal work.

Tiers

Firms are ranked in tiers in each category, and are listed alphabetically within each tier. The total number of firms listed, and the number of tiers, varies by jurisdiction. All of those firms listed deserve congratulations on being included.

The trade mark rankings are also published in the February paper issue of Managing IP, which is distributed to subscribers this week. Subscribe online to order your own copy.

This is just the first part of the annual IP Stars survey. The rankings for patent work and copyright work will be published in March and April respectively. Later in the year we will post in-depth analyses for each jurisdiction, and the list of individual IP stars. These will also be published in hard copy later this year.

Note that until these new rankings are published, the information online is from the 2015 edition.

More information

The 2016 IP Stars rankings are based on information available in January 2016, and the research is independent and rigorous. No firm can pay to be included, or solicit recommendations, and Managing IP does not recommend or endorse any particular firms or individuals.

For more information on IP Stars, including details of how to participate, our FAQs and links for advertising enquiries, see our new post on the IP Stars website.
