Hong Kong proposes copyright law amendments
A bill to enact long-awaited changes to Hong Kong’s Copyright Ordinance received its first reading in the Legislative Council this week
The 85-page Copyright (Amendment) Bill 2011 introduces a safe harbour for online service providers (OSPs) that might save them from infringement liability and establishes a new exclusive right for copyright owners to communicate their works electronically.
