Huawei – when patents and politics mix

Huawei’s decision to pull back from its deal to buy bankrupt Silicon Valley start-up 3Leaf is the latest in a series of IP-related setbacks in the US for the telecommunications company.
These go back to January 2003, when Huawei's first attempt to enter the US market led to a lawsuit from US networks company Cisco.
Cisco claimed that Huawei had copied some of the source code for the US company's IOS...
