New European privacy rules to affect online services
The European Commission has set out its strategy to strengthen data protection in the digital age, in a move that will have an impact on online businesses
The Commission wants to revise the EU's 1995 Data Protection Directive to better reflect the changes brought about by internet services. It issued a document yesterday called: A comprehensive approach on personal data protection in the European Union.
