Competition merger could harm IP owners
The UK’s Competition Commission and Office of Fair Trading are likely to be merged, the government has said
As part of measures to cut costs, the government last week announced plans to close or reform many quasi-non-governmental organisations.
It said that it will consult next year on merging the competition functions of the OFT with the Competition Commission.
