Google criticises FTC plans for journalism

Google has filed an extensive response to the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) draft discussion paper on how to reinvent journalism for the digital age
Last month, the FTC released a draft paper which included several proposals to help curb the newspaper industry’s approximately 45% drop in advertising revenue since 2000.
